GCATT is an initiative of real and virtual clusters of excellence in advanced telecommunications. GCATT supports development of the latest technologies and applications in communications, computing and content processing. The GCATT partnership of industry, government and universities works together in a three-pronged strategy of Technology, Policy and Commercialization for high-tech economic development in Georgia.

 

EGT is an Atlanta-based telecommunications software infrastructure company. affiliated with Georgia's Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC). We develop enabling solutions for media distribution networks that provide next generation applications over a limited amount of bandwidth. Our solutions are especially relevant over the constrained first mile.

 

Founded in 1999, Yamacraw is Georgia’s strategic initiative to foster growth in the broadband telecommunications industry. Leveraging Georgia’s existing high-tech base, and combining it with resources from private sector companies, major universities, the research community and more than $100 million in state funds, the initiative is making Georgia a world leader in the design of broadband (high-speed) communication systems, devices and chips.

 

The IEEE is a non-profit, technical professional association of more than 377,000 individual members in 150 countries. The full name is the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. Through its members, the IEEE is a leading authority in technical areas ranging from computer engineering, biomedical technology and telecommunications, to electric power, aerospace and consumer electronics, among others.

 

The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) is a nationally recognized technology incubator that helps Georgia entrepreneurs launch and build successful companies. ATDC provides strategic business advice and connects its member companies to the people and resources they need to succeed.
