Content Processing Centers    VIEW LIST
Research in the content subcluster involves the creation, processing, and distribution of content. Content includes standard forms of multimedia such as speech, music, images and video.

Networking Centers    VIEW LIST
Research in the network subcluster addresses core telecommunications technology, including the so-called physical layer solutions (such as wireless and optical subsystems) as well as the network layer issues (such as contention resolution and congestion control needed for optimizing quality of service).

System Solutions Centers    VIEW LIST
Joint designs in the system solutions subcluster create efficient combinations of content processing and networking technologies to create, catalyze or enhance significant new markets such as distance education, telehealth, communications for the handicapped, and communication of plant and animal stress signals for advanced agriculture.
